This is one of the top-of-the-line Tandbergs and the sound is so good it is nearly unbelievable. If you google the reviews on this, one audiophile forum discussion leads to links where this model was put up against a Nakamichi Dragon and the Tandberg was rated much higher for playback. There are no issues with this deck, it has been part of my system and treated with care. This can be positioned as a top-loader, hung on a wall or stood up on edge. The build quality on this is nothing short of remarkable. When my husband first brought this home, I couldn't believe how I had never heard all of my favorite songs sound so good on cassette. All meters and lights function correctly and I have regularly cleaned the tape head and rollers.
