1974 USA Fender Blackface Super Twin Guitar Amp Tube Amplifier RARE!!!

This is a Fender Super Twin tube amp from the mid 70's with blackface cosmetics.  It is in EXCELLENT condition, super clean for its age though there are a few spots on the tolex where it has been touched up/repaired by original owner, see pics.  This amp weighs 87 pounds and thankfully it is on 4 ball-bearing casters.  Includes original foot pedal, which is quite rare, the foot pedal has the unique functions of switching the distortion channel on and off, the EQ channel on/off, and also has a slide switch for controlling the level of distortion.  This is a rare amp, and this one in particular is of the scarcer models that do not contain the reverb, which were only manufactured between 1975-76.

It looks to be all original.  This is a very loud and powerful amp boasting a compliment of 6 - 6L6GC output tubes rated at 180 watts.  It is nearly twice as powerful as a Twin Reverb amp and there is literally nothing you can't do with this amplifier, tone-wise.  The distortion channel is certainly nothing to brag about but because of the incredible headroom on the clean channel this amp is a true pedal lover and with the super high quality active EQ section, you can find any tone you want.  This could be your #1 main amp!  Ted Nugent loved these for their raw power.

Steel guitar players are particularly fond of these as they just do not distort at pretty much any volume.  The speakers are original and in excellent condition.  This amp sounds beautiful and I very much hesitate selling it because of its sublime tone but it is way too powerful and deserves to be played much more than it is.  The 6L6's are 3 RCA sawtooth blackplates, 2 Realistic Lifetime and 1 Westinghouse.  It has 1 - 12AX7, 1 - 12AT7, 1 - 12AU7A, and 2 - 7025.  I haven't pulled the small tubes, but most of them look to be RCA.  They all seem strong, the amp sounds great.

Coupled with all the bells and whistles on the front, the back panel sports a direct line out, a tube bias matching pot, hum balance and reverse polarity switch. This is one4 from my personal collection. I got it from a long time pedal steel player, and he hated to part with it to. The winning bidder will not be disappointed with this old beauty, no way. I would be willing to meet the winning bidder for fuel cost if within 120 miles or so. This will way just over 100 pounds fully packed to withstand shipment.
